Michelle joined the Hata lab in June 2021 after earning her Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry and Biology at Brandeis University. At Brandeis, she worked in the Street Lab, studying the binding mechanisms of ER chaperone proteins. In Hata Lab, she works with Haichuan studying the interplay of tumor and stromal cells and its influence to drug resistance. She hopes to later pursue a career in medicine. In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her friends, reading, playing board games, and exploring the Boston area.
